Panthic meet urges all Sikh groups to unite

Dal Khalsa organised a Panthic convention at Moga today. The speakers at the convention give a call to all Sikh groups and parties to unite under a single umbrella and not to air controversial issues in public that divide them.

SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann, former Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode, Harpal Singh Cheema, Sudhar Lehar chairman Gurpartap Singh Wadala, SGPC member Karnail Singh Panjoli, Gurdeep Singh Bhatinda, Paramjit Singh Gazi, Mohkam Singh and many other leaders addressed the gathering.

The speakers alleged that in a bid to silence their self-determination voices, the state has carved out a policy to target Sikhs not only within its boundaries but beyond it.

The speakers had a soft corner for Narain Singh Chaura who had attacked Sukhbir Badal outside Darbar Sahib. “He is a true Panthic and staunch protagonist of Khalistan movement,” said Kanwar Pal Singh. He urged Jathedar Akal Takht to inquire into the matter rather than seeking a judicial inquiry. He took a dig at political parties for alleging a conspiracy behind the attack on Sukhbir Badal.

Paramjit Singh Mand said the youth Akali leader who deliberately removed Narain Singh’s turban should seek apology or Jathedar Akal Takht should take action against him.
